RIT in the news: Sweet summer

Ah, the sun, and the pool, and the picnics! Oh, yeah, and the absolute screeching halt to most activities on campus. What’s a PR person to write about?

The work flow certainly takes on a different complexion within the more relaxed environment of summer on a university campus. While there are much fewer events to report on, summer offers a great opportunity to connect our experts with journalists in town and across the country. Here’s just a sample of how our media-savvy faculty members have kept RIT in the news, just during the past week:

The Use—And Abuse—Of L-1 Visas, Professor Ron Hira quoted, HR Magazine, July issue

Bargain-hunters beat path to garage sales, Professor Eugene Fram quoted, Democrat & Chronicle, June 30

How to avoid being an office baby, CIMS staff member Kathryn Howard, Associated Press, June 27

Best wishes to all for a fun and relaxing July 4th holiday and the rest of the summer!

  1. "No one is going to take you seriously if you come in wearing rumpled clothes, clubbing outfits, ripped jeans or reeking of smoke from last night's bar crawl." This is news to me. :) j/k
