It’s Greek to me!

Kudos to RIT’s Greek organizations! During the past few weeks, members of various fraternities and sororities have organized wildly successful fund raisers that showcase the infectious spirit that exists here on campus. And let me tell you, it’s been a trememndous boon to RIT’s PR efforts!

First up was Sigma Alpha Mu and its 11th annual Pole Sit to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Next, Phi Kappa Psi and Zeta Tau Alpha got down and dirty with the 10th annual Mud Tug for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. And currently members of Tau Kappa Epsilon have taken up residence on the Quarter Mile for their Tent-Out event, which is helping fund Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

Local media has provided great coverage of these events, showcasing what a vibrant community we have here at RIT. The efforts of these caring and energetic students are not to minimized, and the staff at University News says, “Thank you!”
