U2 at RIT

22 years later and I will finally see U2….My friends and I were all set to see U2 at RIT in 1983, as high school juniors at Fairport High. But we couldn’t get a car on a weeknight. So we missed the up-and-coming band, which was on its second leg of the War Tour.

U2 played at RIT for $5, yes $5, on April 28, 1983. I believe it was in Clark Gym. Anyone have any memorabilia from that show… a ticket stub, Reporter magazine article????

U2 also played in Rochester at the old Silver Stadium in October of 1987. Bono had a broken arm after falling off a speaker a concert before. Unfortunately, I was out of state at college, and missed that show, too.

So I finally will see U2 in Buffalo on Dec. 9…Today’s ticket: $100. But it will be worth every penny.
